Explore the Beautiful Broke by Bicycle!

During your stay at Starline Alpacas, why not hire a bike and explore what the picturesque town of Broke has to offer!

About Broke

Known as the tranquil side of the Hunter Valley, Broke-Fordwich is a rustic area and set against the dramatic backdrop of the stunning Yellow Rock. 

The village of Broke has become the hub of an emerging wine-growing area with . The warm climate and fertile soils produce soft and distinctive wines, such as semillon, shiraz, chardonnay and verdelho, as well as Italian varieties, including sangiovese, barbera and dolcetto. Explore the vineyards on two wheels – don't forget to book ahead to enjoy great country dining at one of Broke'srestaurants or cafes. 

Beyond the vineyards, Broke and its surrounds offer plenty of things to do. Join a tour and get a bird’s-eye-view of the Hunter region from a helicopter or balloon ride. Get in the saddle and set off on a horseriding adventure or pack a picnic to go for a bushwalk along the scenic walking trails through Yengo National Park. Country drives are relaxing here, so head off to nearby Wollombi, Lovedale or Maitland.
